Street trips use local R5 routes in both directions. Bicycle eligibility requires ≤45 minutes each way at 16 km/h with an LTS 2 preference; stressful links may require dismounting. Walking requires ≤30 minutes each way. No elevation or live traffic is included.
Weekday July 2025–June 2026 APC shapes desired commute timing. Medicine initially shares the University destination and AM/PM profile, not hospital shift schedules. Transit uses scheduled Sep 24 BJCTA itineraries with access walks and waits. The Feb–May Blazer draft remains a visible reference, not September service. Cars use reachable employee pools; permits and the UAB Hospital worksite proxy remain assumptions.
A full lot triggers a short check, then a street-routed drive to another eligible lot. Search stops after four visits or fifteen extra minutes. Drivers without a space end at the last attempted lot; no trip home is invented. These search limits are modeling assumptions, not observed behavior.
